In coordination with United Community, members of our club met once a week with children and their mothers at the local library. The children were organized into groups according to school grade, and each Rotarian was assigned a group of children to read with and discuss their books. While the kids read, the mothers received training in computer skills.

With the goal of giving local children and residents a chance to spend more time in the outdoors and learn basic camping skills, the club spends a weekend at Wolf Run in Wardensville, WV with residents of Audubon, Creekside, Harmony Place, and Sequoya. Cookouts, hiking, swimming, and roasted marshmallows are all on the agenda, as well as goal setting for residents and communities.
